Summer School on the Bologna Process in Kyrgyz Higher Education

From July 20 to July 24, 2006, the European Documentation Centre held a Summer School on the topic: “Implementation of the Bologna Process Principles in the Higher Education System of Kyrgyzstan.”
Participants were selected on a competitive basis from universities across Kyrgyzstan. The program included lectures, workshops, and group discussions on European higher education standards, academic mobility, credit systems, and quality assurance.
The Summer School was funded by the BISTRO Project “Strengthening the Capacity of the European Documentation Centre – Establishing a System for Disseminating Information on the Activities of the European Communities and Supporting European Studies.”
The event played an important role in promoting the integration of Kyrgyzstan’s higher education system into the European Higher Education Area.
