International Study Tour “D-TIDE-KG: Digital Transformation and Innovative Development of Doctoral Education” 15–24 May 2026, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany)

As part of the international Erasmus+ project D-TIDE-KG (Digital Transformation and Innovative Development of Doctoral Education in Kyrgyzstan), staff members of the European Documentation Center participated in an international study tour organized by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg).

The program brought together representatives from universities in Kyrgyzstan and European institutions to explore modern approaches to organizing doctoral education, the digital transformation of universities, quality management in researcher training, and the development of research infrastructure.

During the training, participants learned about Germany’s experience in organizing doctoral schools, digitizing educational processes, training research supervisors, and implementing modern quality assurance tools.

Significance for the Center for European Documentation

The experience gained will be used to develop proposals for modernizing PhD training in the Kyrgyz Republic, improving the regulatory framework, and introducing European practices into university operations.
