Practical Applications of ESG principles in Sustainable Industry, Higher Education, and Water Management

As part of a study visit, ESGCA (Environmental, Social and Governance Competence Accelerator) partners arrived in Bratislava, Slovakia, to engage with experts and students at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The visit focused on the practical applications of ESG principles in sustainable industry, higher education, and water management.

During the visit, participants exchanged insights on how ESG frameworks can be effectively implemented across different sectors. In the context of sustainable industry, the discussions highlighted innovations in green technologies, energy efficiency, and responsible production practices.

The university showcased its efforts in integrating ESG topics into its curriculum, promoting interdisciplinary research, and fostering student involvement in sustainability initiatives. This exchange of knowledge reinforced the importance of education in shaping future leaders who prioritize environmental and social responsibility.

Water management was another key theme, with local experts presenting smart solutions for monitoring, equitable water access, and sustainable resource use—reflecting how governance and technology can work together to protect essential resources.
